We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of designated projects to ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. With guidance from department managers, you will review project proposals or plans to determine the scope, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project. You will develop and implement project plans/methodologies for single discipline projects and establish work plans and staffing for each phase of the project, recruiting or assigning project personnel as necessary.
You will also be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of project personnel to ensure that the project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget. Other duties include conducting safety meetings and training programs, generating and approving purchase orders, reviewing timesheets, and occasionally traveling as required. The role requires strong communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders, think creatively to manage project contingencies, manage teams across multiple offices and sub-consultants, and properly address and manage change.
To be successful in this role, you must have 7-10 years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and excellent communication, conceptualization, and project management skills. Proper licenses or certificates for that particular discipline are also strongly preferred.
