Akela Engineering & Consulting is a leading MEP engineering firm with a strong track record in the Commercial market sector. Our portfolio includes over 125 million square feet of designed office space, encompassing corporate headquarters, regional offices, tenant improvements, and distribution facilities. We have also designed over 7,500 luxury high-rise units in multi-family residential projects, ranging up to 60 stories, in downtown Los Angeles, Long Beach, and San Diego. In addition, our expertise extends to healthcare projects and OSHPD-3 facilities such as clinics, outpatient surgery centers, infusion/oncology centers, skilled nursing facilities (OSHPD-2), and senior living homes.

InterContinental Hotel.

This project included the construction of a 14-story guest room tower, featuring a stunning rooftop restaurant and bar with breathtaking views of the city. Three levels of below-grade parking were also included, ensuring ample space for guests to park their vehicles safely and securely.

The IQHQ RaDD project encompasses 10 acres, 6 blocks, and 1,700,000SF of lab, office, and retail spaces along the downtown San Diego waterfront.

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman – Office Improvements

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman is a 26,000 SF new office space currently finishing construction.  Akela provided electrical and lighting design services for this modern office space.

Sunroad Centrum Office TI

This project involves over 100,000SF of tenant improvements to the office and meeting spaces of the existing Sunroad Centrum Office building.
