Sustainable Engineer :

As a Sustainable Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing sustainable and resilient solutions for our clients, making it a vital role within our organization. Your duties will entail working closely with building owners, architects, and other key stakeholders to provide support for sustainable design solutions on new construction projects. Additionally, you will be required to assist in providing Akela’s building optimization services and delivering strategic planning focused on decarbonization and resiliency.

This role requires a high level of collaboration with multi-disciplinary project teams, and to excel in this position, you must possess a deep understanding of the latest industry trends and best practices, coupled with a strong passion for sustainability in the built environment. You will have the opportunity to showcase your technical expertise in designing and implementing sustainable and resilient solutions, while also providing guidance to project teams and clients.

Creating detailed whole building energy models.
Implement sustainable design solutions that reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency.
Analyze building performance data and conduct energy audits to identify areas for improvement to optimize building performance.
Perform energy calculations to quantify energy and cost saving opportunities for clients.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into all aspects of the design process.
Stay up-to-date with the latest sustainability trends and technologies, building codes, standards, and energy regulations.
Degree in Engineering, Building Science, or related field.
Knowledge of MEP system design and operations.
