Abbi Duncan.
Abbi Entezari-Duncan works on lighting and power designs for various types of buildings including military, government, education, and lab projects.
She is responsible for making sure all building equipment and requirements operate correctly following the client’s specifications. Abbi’s journey with Akela started during college when she was brought on as an intern during the summer. She felt it was the perfect opportunity for her as it aligned with her career path and allowed her to continue working part-time through the fall semester while finishing her degree. She is thankful to her supervisors for supporting her and helping her build a strong foundation through one-on-one training and mentorship.
Recalling all the obstacles she faced during college, Abbi is proud of herself for pushing through and feels she’s reaping the rewards of her hard work. Her last words for anyone in college are to not give up, commit, and stick through it: “You just have to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and once you cross the finish line, the world is your oyster.”
Abbi is currently studying for her EIT and preparing to take the next step in her career.
