Ken Wikoren.

Associate Vice President
|

Ken does 3rd party testing of installed and MEP components in buildings. He notes that Commissioning was not a term used in the industry until sometime between 2010-2012, and he has enjoyed being part of the change and evolution of the role in the industry.

One of the biggest challenges of his job is meeting business owners’ and clients’ expectations while staying within budget. Ken has worked on over a hundred different Bachelor Enlisted Quarters or dorm-type quarters, where the Navy or Marines have to bunk, and he finds it fulfilling to contribute to providing the military with a better place to start and end their day.

Reflecting on his 20-year experience with the company, Ken attributes it to the familial atmosphere and approach in both the way the company treats its employees and how colleagues treat one another. He believes that holding people accountable while allowing them the chance to learn from their mistakes through trial and error has been one of the most rewarding experiences. Ken advises fresh graduates to learn from those in front of them, absorb as much knowledge and experience as possible, and try something new without fear.
