Akela Engineering & Consulting has consistently provided the County of San Diego high-level engineering expertise and guidance on the County Operations Center (COC) project. This large multiphase public campus which includes not only office facilities but essential services is a multiple award winning project and SDG&E Energy Champion in part from the hard work from Akela Engineering & Consulting. This model development is admired and replicated by other agencies including the City of San Diego, US Navy and Counties throughout California.

Over the past twelve years, we have worked with Akela Engineering & Consulting in designing a wide range of facilities. Significant projects during this time include the $500 Million San Diego County Operations Center and the new $1 Billion Coastal Campus for the Navy SEALs. The firm has consistently provided us with outstanding engineering design and has met every budgetary and scheduling challenge. Their assistance has been particularly valuable whenever we were engaged in best value design/build competitions, and they have made significant contributions to our success in that arena.
